Terms and Conditions

How to Apply: Please register for an account at programming.school and follow the prompts. By creating an account you agree with these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

Class Rates: The actual class rates and fees can be found in the "Schedule" site section (https://programming.school/#schedule)

Payment: Payment is due upon course registration. We accept payment by credit card via Stripe. Prices are subject to change without notice. Upon receipt of payment you shall receive specific information about the course and materials, as may be applicable.

Cancellation of Registration: As a courtesy, if a student misses one (1) lesson, SIT Programming School will permit the student to attend one free group consultation lesson, to be scheduled by SIT Programming School. Cancellations received more than 3 days prior to a program's start date will not incur any charges; Cancellations received less than 3 days prior to a program's start date will be charged 100 percent of the full tuition. If a registrant fails to attend without notification, or if a withdrawal occurs on or after a program start date, full tuition will be forfeited.

If SIT Programming School cancels a program due to any reason, registered participants will be permitted to apply their registration to another program or receive a full refund.

Advance Preparation: Any advance preparation to be completed prior to attending the program, such as pre-readings or technical requirements, will be provided to you prior to the start of the course provided that tuition has been paid in full.

Our technical recommendations for all our programs are:
  • Computer: PC (Windows XP or later) or Mac (OSX 10.7 or later) with at least a 2GHz processor and 2GB of RAM (4GB of RAM is recommended).
  • Internet: Broadband internet with at least 1.2Mbps download and 600Kbps upload speeds.
  • Webcam: Either external or built-in (many laptops have an integrated camera).
  • Microphone and Speakers: We recommend headphones with a built-in microphone. But any microphone and speakers will work fine in a quiet room.

Permission to Use Materials: In consideration for your agreement to the Terms, SIT Programming School grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Sites. Photography/Videography: Please note that photographs and/or videos may be taken during classes or events for educational, training and marketing purposes. You must indicate to us whether you approve of your child being featured in any educational, training and/or marketing materials.

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold SIT Programming School harmless from any claims, losses or damages, including legal fees, resulting from your violation of these Terms, your use of a Site or your placement of any content onto a Site, and to fully cooperate in SIT Programming School's defense against any such claims.

Your Account. If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, if any, and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. If you are under 18, you may purchase products or services only through a parent or guardian. You agree that billing and registration information you provide on the Sites will be accurate and complete. SIT Programming School and its affiliates reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders in their sole discretion.

Other: The Sites may contain errors and omissions relating to product description, pricing and availability. SIT Programming School reserves the right to correct errors or omissions without prior notice. SIT Programming School also reserves the right to cancel any offered product or service in the event of an error or omission in the description, including price, unavailability or other reason.

General: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SIT Programming School and its affiliates with respect to the subject matter herein and supersedes any and all prior or contemporaneous oral or written agreements.

Choice of Law/Forum Selection: You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or any content posted to a Site, including copies and republication thereof, whether based in contract, tort, statutory or other law, will be governed by the laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflicts of law provisions. You further consent to the personal jurisdiction of and exclusive venue in the courts located in the Canton of Schaffhausen, Switzerland as the legal forum for any such dispute.
